Hi Everyone! It’s the 1st of the month which means the new Spellbinders dies and glimmers of the month have been revealed! I was lucky to get my hands on the July Glimmer ahead of time and have three project to share with you using it today!

This month’s Glimmer of the Month is gorgeous – three nesting frames that impress and foil a beautiful vined looking frame. The Essential Labels Nestabilities dies pair perfectly for die cutting out the labels to create frames or panels. There are also three tiny glimmer plates, including two vines and a curlicue embellishment.

For my first card, I used Watermelon Fusion cardstock with gold glimmer foil, and foiled the largest frame. I then die cut it out with the Essential Labels. I also die cut the matching dotted frame from the same die set to add that gorgeous detail. As a last cut, I added a smaller panel cut from the same cardstock color with the labels dies and mounted in the centre on foam tape.

To finish the card, I mounted the flowers with foam tape in the centre. – these are a card diecut from a recent Spellbinders card kit, and then popped the foiled sticker (also from a card kit) on the top, before finishing with some pink gemstones, and mounting the entire piece on a white note card.

My next card features the smallest plate frame from the July Glimmer of the month. I foiled it in the same gold foil using my glimmer onto Bubble Gum cardstock. and die cut it out with two of the nesting labels dies to create a frame.

I also decided to dry emboss one of the dotted Essential Labels dies onto Whip Cream cardstock using my embossing mat and plate. I love. the subtle detail it adds. I mounted my foiled piece on foam tape into the centre and added a few die cuts from a recent Spellbinders card kit to co-ordinate, as well as some pearls to finish. I rounded the corners and mounted the entire piece on a white notecard.

For my final card, I decided to repeat foil the little vine plates from the glimmer of the month. I foiled two at a time onto Blue Lagoon cardstock, first using Silver foil, and then Blush foil, rotating them each time much like you would when creating a stamped background. I foiled the medium sized plate onto bright yellow cardstock in gold, die cut it out using the Essential Labels to create a frame, and mounted it onto my background piece with foam adhestive.

For the centre die cut a label die twice (the die is from a Spellbinders card kit) from the same Blue Lagoon cardstock twice and also once from mirror cardstock and adhered them together. I mounted them in the centre and the added a diecut butterfly and sentiment strip, plus a fun chipboard heart, all from a previous card kit. Lots of dimension on this one!
