Hi Everyone!
It’s that time again where several of us get together to showcase the Spellbinders Kit Clubs. Hands up who loved the September sets? (ME! ME!). For my stop on today’s hop, I’m featuring the Large Die set which had the cutest little bird in it – I couldn’t resist using him again!
I started out die cutting all my pieces, cutting several of the florals and leaves in the set. You’ll see I mostly used shades of pink, with highlights of gold mirror, but I did throw in some custom bright lime green cardstock I had in my stash that I created a long time ago. I love the way the green pairs with the pink and used it for both my sentiment and the leaves.
Before I pulled together my scene, I wanted to ground it in a focal area of a notecard. I grabbed a small panel of watercolor cardstock, and added a little swipe of clear water. I. then dropped into it pale pink watercolor paint, and a little metallic gold. I let it dry, then adhered the panel to the card. I then built my bird, the florals and the sentiment around that panel, letting the pieces overhang the edge in places.
To finish, I scattered several Fashion Gold Embellishments around the piece, to tie in with that gold mirror cardstock.
