Hi Everyone!

I hope you’ve all been enjoying the new Tropical Treasures release from Catherine Pooler Designs! The card I have for you today uses the Be Wild Stamps and Dies from the new release, and I created a fun ‘tall’ card to really show off the images in a different way.

To create my card, I first created a tall size card panel. As my card base is to be 8″ (the width of a panel of cardstock) by 6.5″, the panel was 3.25″ by 8″. I stamped it with the Wild Thing background stamp in embossing ink (I had to stamp the background twice to cover the panel fully), and heat embossed it with WOW! Wanderlust embossing powder.

I then stamped the florals from the Be Wild stampset. I used Flirty Fuchsia, Tiara and It’s a Girl inks, sometimes stamping a solid image, or in a couple of places, doing some ombre stamping allowing the colors to overlap. I also added some details with Midnight ink. I . also stamped several of the leaves in Lime Rickey. I then die cut them all out and set aside.

The sentiment from the set was stamped in embossing ink on grey cardstock from the Smoke & Mirrors card set and heat embossed in WOW! Bright White Opaque embossing powder. I trimmed it out and adhered it to the card base. I then arranged the flowers around the panel and adhered them with foam squares. I tucked the leaves in and glued them directly to the panel. Any pieces overhanging, I trimmed off with my scissors.

I really like how this tall card turned out – I definitely want to do more cards in the future that aren’t the standard A2 size!
