Hi Everyone! I hope you all had a relaxing weekend. I spent mine outside in the sun, and my daughter and I finally went to a park for the first time since the pandemic started last year. It was so much fun. To celebrate the sun, I have a card that features lots of warm colors and Sunflowers!

I’m featuring stamp sets from the new Spellbinders Cardmaker Stamp Collection. The Hello Sunflower set features a large and small sunflower with coordinating sentiments. I stamped the largest twice on X-Press It cardstock, in alcohol ink friendly black ink. I colored them in with alcohol markers (from Altenew) and added a few touches of white gel pen, then fussy cut them all out, leaving a small white border.

For my background, I’m featuring the Windy Sky background stamp. I heat embossed it onto a panel of white cardstock in Gold embossing powder. Using the Best Ever Craft Tape, I masked off a border around the edge and then ink blended orange and pale yellow inks up the panel. The heat embossing resists it, and when the masking tape is removed, a bright white border remains!

I mounted the panel onto a white notecard, then adhered the Sunflowers with foam squares. To finish, I heat embossed a sentiment from the Hello Sunflower stamp in the same Gold embossing powder, then mounted onto my panel. I finished with a few orange iridescent jewels.

Enjoy the weather!
