Hi Everyone!

I AM SO EXCITED! I managed to get my hands on the Gina K Designs and Simon Says Stamp collaboration set released for STAMPtember – OUT TODAY!!

I’ve been so excited to share it and yey! Finally the day has come. The set is called ‘Snowflake Cascade’. It’s beautiful. Of course it sang ‘heat emboss me’ to me and I gladly obliged!

As regular blog followers know, Gina K’s Tranquil Teal is my favorite color of cardstock ever, so of course I had to reach for it. for this card. I trimmed a panel down to 4.25″ x 5.5″ and popped it in my MISTI. I grabbed the half snowflake image from the set (how much does this look like a tiara?!) and lined it up in the centre of my panel against the top edge using my MISTI to pick it it up. I then inked it up with WOW! Embossing ink and stamped it (I pre-treated with a powder bag), then heat embossed with WOW! Metallic Rich Pale Gold embossing powder.

I left the stamp where it was and then flipped it around 180* and repeated the embossing. I then removed the stamp and lined it up on the long edge of the panel, ensuring it was in the middle again, heat embossed again, and then flipped one more time and repeated. Before I put my heat tool away, I grabbed another scrap. of slightly lighter teal cardstock and heat embossed the ‘wishing you joy’ sentiment in the same EP. I then trimmed it out.

To add some depth to my card, I ink blended SSS Slate, Soft Navy and High Dive inks. over the embossing, blending gently towards the centre, leaving it an area of Teal cardstock without ink in the centre. To add texture, I flicked on water and white acrylic paint spray and left it to dry, then popped the sentiment up in the centre with foam adhesive. A few gems and some Gina K Ocean Pearls Crystalline Drops added a touch more sparkle to complete the card!

I’ve linked to the new set below. Enjoy and I hope you’re all having fun with the celebrations! Thank you to Simon and Gina for the chance to get an early play with. this fab set!
