Hi Everyone!
Today I’m joining you with a clean and simple card that features the Spellbinders March 2022 Glimmer of the Month ‘Glimmer Edge Roses’. These Glimmer Plates glimmer an image that actually foils right up to and including the edge of the die outline so that when die cut, the florals (and leave) have a gorgeous foil outline. I love this style of Glimmer plate, and so glad Spellbinders carried on this style. You may recall this style was used on the Glimmering Autumn Woods set which I also raved about (check out the post here).
To create my card, I first did my hot foiling. Of course I’m using my Spellbinders Glimmer Machine, and I decided to glimmer onto white cardstock that I could ink blend on. I used different colors for both the florals and leaves – Skybright for the leaves, and Pink for the Roses. I created several of them, and then very gently ink-blended pink ink and a dab of purple onto the roses, and pale green onto the leaves.
I used the border Glimmer plate from the Geometric Floral glimmer set, and glimmered it in Black Glimmer onto a panel of white glossy cardstock. For my sentiment, I used black glossy cardstock, and glimmered the ‘Happy Anniversary’ from the Sentiments for Everyday set, using Matte Gold. I popped it into the centre to anchor my frame and then built out my arrangement around it.
I added the roses and leaves with foam tape in different levels, leaving a little of the glimmered frame to peep out. To finish, I added Fashion Gold embellishments here and there.
