Hi Everyone!

It’s time for a new Spellbinders Club Kits Glimmer of the Month and this one is so cute! The Glimmering Autumn Woods features leaves, acorns and toadstools, perfect for glimmering a sweet woodland scene. What is even cooler about this set, that I discovered while making today’s card, is that the glimmered foil goes all the way to the edge, so when you die cut out the images, you’re left with a foiled outline rather than a cardstock border. It looks really finished and classy!

I decided to create a clean and simple look for my card, using white cardstock throughout. I first added texture by dry embossing a panel of white cardstock with the Falling Leaves embossing folder. I splattered gold ink spray on it and set aside to dry.

All of the Glimmer plates including the sentiment were glimmered with Matte Gold glimmer foil onto white cardstock. I glimmered several of the little flowers, a few of the leaves, and a couple of the acorns (I can use the spares on other projects). I also die cut several leaves and. the stems from gold mirror cardstock. For a little pop of color I die cut the flower centres and the bud stems from pale pink cardstock.

I adhered the flowers together and then arranged my scene. I started with. the Toadstool, then the acords and leaves, then scattered the flowers around. I mounted the sentiment onto foam tape after die cutting it out and scattered a few pink crystals around the scene to tie in with pink cardstock.

I hope Spellbinders does more of these gorgeous glimmered outline images, what do you think? Do you prefer a white border or foiled?
