Hi everyone and welcome to my stop on today’s blog hop showcasing the November 2021 release from Reverse Confetti! There are snowflakes, and seasonal sentiments, perfect for getting your holiday card stash going.
My first card features the Retro Holiday stamp set, paired with the Layered Joy Die. To create the look I first die cut the Joy – the base layer is cut from vellum, and the top layer. from glitter cardstock. I adhered them together, then went to work on my cardbase.
I used the thin ‘ornament’ shape from Retro Holiday, and starting at the top, stamped it 13 times across a white card base in shades of purple, red and pink. I used my MISTI to do this, moving the cardstock down 1/2″ then stamping in a different shade each time. When complete, I splattered a little antique gold ink spray.
I popped the Joy diecut onto the panel with foam squares, then stamped a few of the retro snowflakes in black ink to finish.
My second card features the Snowflake Season stamp set, and Snowy Sentiments stamp set (free if you spend more than $60 in the Release).
I didn’t want traditional colors, so went with a stamped and layered heat embossed look. To get this look, I first heat embossed three of the snowflakes, in Superfine Silver embossing powder. I then stamped several of the snow flakes in a coral ink, then a baby. pink ink, overlapping the heat embossing a little, but being sure to leave a space for a sentiment in the upper right area.
I ink blended in a slightly different pink ink very lightly around the panel, fading out around the sentiment, then stamped several more of the snowflakes in Versamark embossing ink (no powder). You can see how it changes the color of the ink blending and leaves almost a watermark behind. I splattered white and iridescent ink spray, all over then stamped the sentiment in black ink.
To finish, I added some pink crystals and some Nuvo Glitter drops across the panel then mounted to a white notecard to finish.
