Hi Everyone!

It’s release day for the All The Trimmings release from Catherine Pooler Designs!!  You guys have to check out this release – from the gorgeous and versatile background stamps and Nested Labels, the fun Snow Globe dies, THREE NEW INK COLORS and the cute stamp sets, there’s something for everyone.  And add in the new patterned paper and SEQUIN mixes (so much sparkly goodness), you basically have everything you need to make all your holiday cards, and a lot of none holiday cards too!  I provide links below to the new release, and yes there is a I WANT IT ALL bundle, just click the banner above now to pop over to the shop.  I’ll wait….

Today I’m showing you some more clean and/or simple cards that I made with the new release.  First up, this little guy and his mug of cocoa.  I stamped the bird and mug (both from the Holiday Charm stamp set) in Midnight ink onto coldpress watercolor cardstock, and then smushed the new inks in Samba and Suede Shoes onto my craft mat.  I spritzed with a little water and used a waterbrush to paint the images.  The purple on the bird is what you get when you mix the two colors together!  I then die cut out the images with the co-ordinating dies.

For the background I stamped the new Woodgrain background stamp onto coldpress watercolor cardstock in Versamark ink, and heat embossed in white. I then used all of the new inks, smushed on my mat (including the new Mardi Gras green) and painted them at random over the woodgrain, letting them blend and create new colors. I used a lot of water to keep the colors light.  The heat embossing resists the ink!

To finish, I masked a sentiment from the set to just stamp Christmas Day in Midnight ink, and edged it with a black marker.  I popped all of the images and the sentiment up on foam tape to the woodgrain base and adhered to a white card base.  To embellish, I added some Glossy Accents, white gel pen, clear Wink of Stella, and some blue Nuvo Glitter drops.

My next card is even simpler! I first created a card base from Catherine Pooler Sand Dunes cardstock, and stamped the Woodgrain background in Versamark ink. I didn’t heat emboss it, and it creates a lovely tone on tone look.  I then stamped the santa hat from the Santa Approved set  in Midnight and colored with Samba ink as before. I then stamped the Nice List check image in Versamark onto Sand Dunes cardstock with Versamark, and heat embossed in gold.  I die cut both with the co-ordinating dies. and adhered the lower edge of the hat to the sentiment.

Before adhering to the card base, I stamped the postage frank stamp on the card base directly with Midnight ink.  I lined up the hat and sentiment and then separately stamped the frank again directly over the check mark.  I adhered to the card base, lining up the two frank marks.

I hope you like the cards!! Be sure to head on over to Catherine’s shop to check out the rest of the collection!

Jenny x
