Hi everyone!
We have an exciting challenge at AAA Cards this week – CAS Shaker! That’s Clean and Simple AND a shaker. Quite a tough one in my opinion. As well as the 1st place $20 prize from our sponsor Stampendous, we’re also offering the winner the chance to be a Guest Designer for a future AAA Cards Challenge!!!
For my card I used the My Favorite Things Die-namics Stitched Interactive Window Trio. This cuts three little squares with subtle stitching, but the windows remain a flap to lift up. I used my knife to trim them out, leaving three little windows for my shaker instead!
I then stamped my sentiment (Altenew Birthday Greetings) using my MISTI and Memento Dye Ink in Elderberry (stamped twice for a clear sharp image). I used Simon Says Stamp Stitched Rectangles (the largest) to cut out the shaker front, and then some purple paper from my stash.
I added acetate to the back of the windows, and foam tape all around the inside, separating each of the windows with tape. I then added sequins in three different shades into each ‘compartment’ and placed the purple die cut piece over the top. Back it all onto a 110lb white card base et voila!
We hope you will join in with us all at the AAA Cards Challenge.
Remember to keep your cards CAS – that’s clean and simple – and have fun!!

What a fun die and you used it so creatively. Gorgeous colour x
Fab colour Jenny and I have that die too and wondered if removing the scored side would work – it so obviously does!
I love that each window has different sequins. Love that die, and love the background with matching ink for the sentiment!
Pretty, elegance with style, super feminine and CAS fantastic!
Lovely, soft, pretty, graphic and CAS. Fun too. Love all the white space. Simply perfect. 🙂 Makes me smile.
Jenny, this is lovely! Love the little windows of fun with the soft purple makes it so pretty!
