Hi everyone, I’m back again today with some more card projects that I’ve created with goodies from the new Waffle Flower Crafts February 2020 release! Today I’m focusing on the Simply Plaids stamps.

The Simply Plaids stamps are half the size of an A2 card, and line up simply to create a full background. For my first card, I’ve created a full black and white background by stamping the large plaid pattern twice with black ink onto a panel of white cardstock.

I then used the Potted Lily main focal image and heat embossed it three times onto sturdy 110lb white cardstock using WOW! Metallic Rich Pale Gold embossing powder. I die cut them all out and then trimmed off the bottom leaves and the vase.

I did some basic Copic coloring with YG markers and a yellow-orange gel pen for the centre. I adhered one of the flowers to the base Plaid panel, popped one up on a layer of foam squares and the last with two layers of foam squares (or one layer where it overlapped with the second layer) to form a sort of bouquet. I added a twine bow to make them pull together.

The sentiment is from the Potted Lily set, heat embossed in WOW! Bright White embossing powder, die cut with the co-ordinating sentiment strip die, and popped over the top. As a finishing touch I added some Yellow Bird Nuvo Glitter Drops.

For my second card, I only stamped the Plaid image once. I actually heat embossed it in WOW! Primary Apple Red embossing powder onto Moonrock cardstock and then trimmed it out. I adhered it onto a kraft panel with foam tape, and onto a white notecard.

I stamped the small Lily in Potted Lily twice in copic friendly ink, and then did some simple Copic coloring again, using pale browns (E) for the leaves and reds (R) for the flowers, to tie in with the background. I also added some more sparkly gel pen to the centres, and used a 0.3 micron pen to darken some of the nooks and crannies. I die cut them out with the co-ordinating die and mounted them onto my panel with foam squares.

I created the sentiment in the same way as before (just love the font on this) and added it to the centre of my card, along with some Nuvo Gloss Crystal Drops in Simply White to embellish. I also added some clear Wink of Stella on the petals for some subtle shimmer.

Be sure to check out the new release from Waffle Flower Crafts over in their store today! I’ve linked to the supplies I’ve used below, and be sure to pop by the blog again tomorrow, I’ll be showing you a last card I made with the new release!
