Good day my fellow crafters and welcome to my stop on today’s Color Therapy Blog Hop! Hopefully the super talented Jaycee Gaspar sent you my way! If not, you can start at the top of the hop over on the Altenew Card Blog! Today’s hop features projects using any and all of Altenew’s coloring mediums. I love to sit down for a little coloring therapy session every now and then, I find it very calming just letting the creative coloring juices flow!

For my coloring session I grabbed a sheet from the recently released Exotic Blooms Marker Coloring Book. This has some gorgeous floral images that work with markers – even alcohol markers! I There is a small sheet you can place behind your panel to absorb any excess ink if it bleeds through too!

I used the solid black lined image of a trio of florals, and paired them with my Artists Markers. I used Set A Cosmic Garden, and Sunshine Valley Garden sets for my coloring, adding my lightest color first, then adding the contrast in the darkest shadow areas, and building back up to lightest again, carefully blending as I went.

When I finished coloring, I fussy cut out the flowers. For my background, I dry embossed a panel of white cardstock with the Organic Linen 3D Embossing Folder, then popped up the flowers with foam tape. I added a lot of black splatters with Jet Black Ink mixed with water.

For my sentiment, I stamped the ‘You Are’ from You Are Everthing, in Obsidian Pigment ink, and die cut it out with the coordinating die. I then adhered it to the upper left corner. I also stamped the ‘enough’ and after heat setting it, colored over the top with one of the alcohol markers I’d used to color the florals to tie in with the color scheme. I then popped it in the centre of the sentiment.
