There’s a brand new Marvelous Monthly release today from Altenew!! We’re celebrating with a hop, and hopefully you were sent my way by the wonderful Agnieszka Malyszek!

My first card is a one layer card that features the new Paint-A-Flower: Iceland Poppies. I wanted to make them bold and bright, so stamped them in Permanent Black on X-Press It cardstock and colored them in with my Artist Markers (Sunshine Valley Set) using the yellows and greens. I also went around the outside with a pale gray marker to add dimension without layers.

I added a few splatters with Jet Black ink spray, and stamped the sentiment over the top of the design in Obsidian Pigment ink. To finish, I added a few clear dots here and there with Nuvo Accents, including in the flower centres.

I love how the glossy on the centres make the poppies three dimensional don’t you?

My next card features the new Craft-Your-Life Project Kit: Bewitching Rose. For this card, I decided to create a bi-fold card. I took a panel of of white cardstock 5.5″ x 8.5″ and scored it on both sides so that the centre panel was 4.25″ (2.1″ approx off each side using my scoring board.) On a separate panel of watercolor cardstock, I heat embossed the rose with Pure White Crisp Embossing Powder.

Using mini ink blending tools and the coordinating Coloring Stencil I added the leaf colors using a selection of inks that coordinated with the Hawaiian Shores pens. I then used the pens to add detail here and there for depth – such as along the leaf stems. I then die cut out the rose with the coordinating die.

I folded in the two folds on my card base towards the centre of the card then adhered the rose along one side with double sided tape, making sure only to adhere it to one side, and cover as much of the join as I was able, trimming off any excess at the top and bottom.

I added several splatters of light gray ink with a fine wet paintbrush, and then stamped some more of the leaves from the main stamp using the same gray ink. I then folded over the top and used a small circle velcro label to keep it closed.

I finished with a white heat embossed sentiment on Jet Black ink and popped it up on foam tape and added a few clear gems to the flower centres.

My next card features the gorgeous Craft-A-Flower: Sulfur Cosmos. I die cut all of the pieces from white cardstock, then ink blended color on them using a mini blending tool and the Martian Terrain set of inks. I used Pastel Sunrise and Burnt Red towards the centre. For the leaves, I used Nature’s Wonders inks Misty Moor and Marshland. The centres were a mix of the two sets to make brown, backed onto gold mirror cardstock.

I pieced together my CAF, aligning all of the centre hold to get it organized.

I dry embossed a panel of Jet Black cardstock using the kit embossing folder, then adhered the flowers and leaves. The sentiment was heat embossed in Rose Gold and surrouned by Satin Gold sequins. I finished with a spritz of Antique Gold Metallic Ink Spray.

My final card features the new Build-A-Garden: Glowing Gardenias. I used the Shades of Purple set of inks to create my card, using the coloring stencil again, and this time pairing with the Sea Shore set of inks for the leaves.

For some shimmer on the outer stencil, I spritzed some Lavender Fields Metallic Ink Shimmer Spray before lifting it up. When dry, I stamped the sentiment directly over the top to heat emboss it, creating another one layer card.

It really does look like it’s glowing doesn’t it? I added a few Satin Gold sequins to tie in with the sentiment to finish.
