Hi everyone! I’m excited today to be part of a collab Instagram hop between WOW! Embossing and Graciellie Design! There’s prizes to be won – all the rules on how to take part are over on my post on Instagram.

I created two cards for the hop. My first features Graciellie’s Nourish & Flourish digital stamp, and WOW! Embossing Iced Silver embossing glitter.

To create my card, I first overlaid the sentiment from the set onto the main vase image using some simple editing (I used Photoshop but you can do this in a word processor app). I then printed it out on hot press watercolor cardstock to fit an A2 size panel.

I colored in the image using Altenew Artist’s pan watercolors, and added lots of light splatters with a waterbrush. Be sure your ink is dry before you start watercoloring – you can heat set it or leave over night to stop it smudging.

When dry, I used the WOW! embossing pen (I have a video coming up on how to use this in different ways on Monday!) to add some highlights on the vase, and then heat embossed with WOW! Iced Silver to get a gorgeous sparkly water shimmer. You an see a close up above.

For my second card, I used Graciellie’s Healing Prayers. I printed it out twice on Bristol Smooth cardstock and colored it with my Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers, using a waterbrush to pull out the colors. I only colored the main flower on the second flower. I fussy cut out the fully colored image and then the second flower (just the main two central layers). On this second flower, I ran around the edges with a black marker.

I created my background by first off added a smear of translucent embossing paste (I used Dreamweaver) onto my craft mat and mixing it with a few hearty scoops of WOW! Sparkles in Crown Jewels. I then smoothed it over an A2 panel of 110lb cardstock and left it to dry.

When dry, I die cut out the glitter panel with a stitched rectangle die and popped it up on foam tape to a white note card. I then added the main floral image over the top with foam squares. For added dimension I added the second flower over the first with more foam squares.

I printed out the sentiment from the same set onto gray cardstock trimmed it out and popped it to the side of the flower. As a finishing touch I added some Nuvo Jewel Drops (I love where these overlap the bigger bits of glitter and magnify them!)
