Hi Everyone!

The Creative Team at Catherine Pooler are video hopping today to celebrate the release of the Storybook Collection from Catherine Pooler and there is a $25 GC up for grabs if you comment on all of the stops on the hop over on YouTube (comments on my blog here are not considered part of the entry although of course always appreciated!) and of course, subscribe! Winners will be announced May 20th on Catherine’s blog.

In my video today I show you three different ways to use sentiments on your cards.

For my first card I feature a secondary stamping technique to set back the image from the main sentiment.

This simple card also features a way to ensure that embossing glitter doesn’t come off your card. After embossing the embossing glitter (use your MISTI), apply 2 or even 3 layers of clear embossing powder.

It gives amazing dimension, and highlights the glitter.

My second card uses a die to cut the sentiment and layer the image over the top to create a three dimensional look.

There are a few different combinations you can do to get this look or similar – I used a different colored ink, and the set back secondary stamping again.

I also used craft foam to provide interest from the side ways view.

My final card first uses a watercolor wash – I’m using the new Rouge and Limoncello inks which blend beautifully.

I used slightly darker colors of ink to stamp sentiments all over the background once dry. This adds subtle texture and images to the background, but without being too obvious.

I heat embossed the focal image in WOW! Vanilla White EP and then added the main focal sentiment as a stacked die cut to stand out from the background.

All of my cards featured stamps from the A Page from the Book bundle which are also available separately – I’ve linked to the supplies used here.
