Hi Folks!

This year is going so fast! It’s almost March! So today I’m sharing a card I created using the Altenew February release that I’ve not yet posted. It uses the pretty New Beginnings stamp set and of course, the ‘permanently on my desk’ new Altenew Artist Watercolors.

I first created the flowers by stamping each of the flower and leaf images on coldpress watercolor cardstock in Altenew Yellow Ochre crisp dye ink. When dry, I roughly colored each flower in using the watercolors. You can see i didn’t try any fancy blending, opting for a more graphic look. I added green to the leaves, then die cut them all out with my Mini Blossom.

For my background, I used the outline image from the Ornate Bliss stamp set and stamped it up and down the centre of a panel of Moonrock cardstock in Butternut ink. I then arranged my flowers and leaves with foam squares onto the panel in the centre.

I stamped the sentiments from the New Beginnings set in Milk Chocolate Milk directly onto the background and scattered a few sequins to finish!
