Hi Folks!

It’s an exciting day as we are video hopping to celebrate the new Welcome Home release from Catherine Pooler Designs which you can grab from the shop tomorrow, February 13 2019.  In my video I’m featuring two cards, that use the gorgeous Cottage Corsage stamp and die set, Interlocked die, and my favorite from the whole collection – the Rondi’s Window background stamp.

My video is below and you can see the next stop on the hop in the video description hint: it’s Ardyth.  There is a $25 Gift Card up for grabs for those who comment on all the video stops and subscribe to the channels featured.  Of course I always appreciate comments on the blog too, but it is video comments that count towards being entered for this prize.  Winners will be announced over on Catherine’s blog on February 18th.

My first card uses clear embossing powder to create an emboss resist with ink blending from the centre, using the Rondi’s Window.  I used Sugared Lavender, Pixie Dust and Royal Treatment inks.

I then added the Cottage Corsage image stamped in Midnight ink and used a Zig blender pen to pick up ink colors and paint the image – I used the same colors on the roses as the background.  The leaves were Stone Blue and Juniper Mist.

The corsage image was die-cut with the co-ordinating dies and popped up on foam tape.  I heat embossed a sentiment from the set in white on Midnight cardstock and popped it up also. Finally, I embellished with Nuvo Drops in Morning Dew.

My second card uses the new Interlocked die and partial die-cutting to create an ornate gatefold card.

I added Catherine Pooler patterned paper in the background.  The sentiment is from the new Awesome & Wonderful stamp set (IT IS AWESOME!) and was heat embossed in Royal Crush embossing powder onto vellum to create the loop closure.

I kept the card really clean and simple – such a fab die to use in this way, but there are so many other versatile ways to use it.

I’ve listed all of the additional supplies I used to create these cards below.  Be sure to check back tomorrow as I’ll have more cards showcasing the new release!!

    1. HI thank you! They used to be called ‘SIZZIX On the Edge’ die cutting plates – but I think if you get the sidekick plates they would work the same 🙂
