Morning all! Happy Friday and welcome to my stop on today’s blog hop showcasing the brand new June 2022 Today is the Day Release from Altenew. You should have arrived here from the fabulous Emily Midgett. I have a bunch of cards to share with you today, so let’s go!

My first card features the absolutely beautiful Ethereal Roses Layering Stamp Set. This is a stunning set, reminiscent of the Vintage Roses stamp set, but easier to use in my opinion – and of course they’d pair brilliantly.

I first stamped out all of my roses, stamping several more than I thought I would need, using my MISTI. I featured yellow leaves using Crisp Dye Inks in Sunray, Chamomile and Snapdragon from the Golden Sunset collection. For the roses, I used the Rose Petal set of inks and the Cherry Blossom sets. I then die cut out all of the pieces with the coordianting die.

For my background, I used a panel of white cardstock, and using the same yellows and pinks, stamped the sweeping curlicue shape from the Enjoy Life stamp set. I arranged the roses over the top and then added splatters in Soft Lilac Metallic Shimmer Ink Spray. I mounted the panel onto a panel pink mat, then adhered to a notecard.

The sentiment is from the new MUST HAVE Bold Sentiments Set, stamped in Obsidian ink. I added a few Satin Gold sequins here and there to finish.

My next card features the Floral Henna stamp set. This is a super simple card to create, and very relaxing to color. I first stamped the floral image twice using Permanent Black ink (alcohol marker safe) onto Copic X-Press It cardstock. I then used my Artists Markers to color in images. I didn’t do any blending, but instead used a coloring technique of drawing blocks of color (as I’ve seen Yana do) and it really adds depth. I used the Island Garden and Sunshine Valley sets to color in the images, and added dots of white gel pen.

I stamped the sentiment from the set directly over the top in Obsidian Pigment ink and supplemented it with another from the Bold Sentiments set which I popped up on foam tape. The splatters are Antique Silver Metallic Ink Spray, and I added a few Crystal Drops here and there to add subtle shine.

My next card also features Artist Markers coloring. The stamp set is the Sentimental Florals set. I stamped it in Permanent Black once again and then colored it in with the Spring Garden set. I added more blending this time, with some feathering on the petals and leaves for dimension. I also added gel pen. I die cut out all of the images and then arranged onto a white top folding note card, adhering with foam tape, and slipping some of the ‘loose’ florals behind the wreath here and there.

I stamped one of the sentiments directly onto the note card, choosing the one that most closely fit the wreath outline. I then added some ‘dots’ in the artists markers onto the base, and a few clear crystals here and there to finish.

I stamped the florals from the Enjoy Life stamp set in embossing ink onto Spicy Yogurt cardstock and heat embossed with Golden Peach Crisp Embossing Powder, then die cut it out.

For my background, I masked off a rectangle using my Satin Masking Tape on a Spicy Yoghurt panel and ink blended Blush Crisp Dye Ink in from the edges. I then removed the tape and stamped the Enjoy Life florals stamps repeatedly over the back panel of SY cardstock in Blush.

I stamped the sentiment in Obsidian over the top, and adhered the die cut floral with foam tape. I then finished with a few black splatters (using Jet Black ink with water) and finished with some Dream Drops.
