Hi Everyone!

I have another card for you today using the Tonic Studios Nuvo Dream in Color goodies from Scrapbook.com. Today I’m focusing on the new Nuvo Embellishment Mousse colors. I LOVE embellishment mousse. I think its a seriously underrated product – it’s not just for stencilling. Today I’m showing you two other ways you can use it.

For my card, I took a panel of the gorgeous Spring Silver Satin Mirror cardstock by Tonic. It’s a matte metallic pale green cardstock which is stunning, and using a Nuvo Dual Ended blender brush, I brushed onto the bottom half some of the new Nuvo Chai Latte Embellishment Mousse. Using these brushes gives an almost brushed steel look, and it looks fab with the matte metallic carstock.

When dry, I embossed the panel with a 3D embossing folder. I used the Lumber folder from Tim Holtz for a rustic look. Metallic cardstock looks amazing dry embossed!

Did you know you can also watercolor with embellishment mousse? I scooped some more of the Chai Latte, and also some of the new Triple Berry onto a craft mat, and mixed it with a little water to create a paste. I then heat embossed the Peony from Altenew’s Peony Spray in white on some Craft Perfect watercolor cardstock.

I painted the image with the embellishment mousse using Chai Latte as the base and on the flower, dropping in some of the Triple Berry. I also went in and deepened the colors a little as a second layer. When dry, I die cut it with the corresponding die.

To finish, I heat embossed the sentiment in white on black cardstock and popped it up on foam tape. I finished with some of the new Nuvo Crystal Gems because I can’t get enough of them!!

LOVE this collection – You can get all of the goodies I used today from Scrapbook.com.
