Hi Everyone!!

It’s release day for Catherine Pooler Designs’ Tropical Treasures collection and the previously released as an SOA Tropically Yours! To celebrate, we are having an Instagram Hop!

Be sure to hop along over on Instagram and leave comments at each stop (on Instagram not on this blog although of course your comments are always appreciated!), as the giveaway winners will be chosen randomly from all the IG comments to win one of two $25 Gift Certificates! You can find me on IG under @jenccards.  You have until March 30 2019 to leave a comment, winners will be announced on April 1 2019 on Catherine’s blog.

I created two cards using the new Isn’t She Lovely stamp and die set. I’ve linked the new release below, but be sure to read on to see how I created these cards.

I really love the way the Isn’t She Lovely set gives you options for how to create the main focal sentiment, so I used it in a couple of different ways to create these cards.

I stamped the main solid sentiment using ombre stamping – I used Limoncello and Polished inks (my new favorite combo), making sure the colors blended in the centre. Catherine’s acrylic blocks are fab for ombre stamping.

I then stamped on top the speckled overlay from the stamp set in WOW! embossing ink and heat embossed in Gold Metallic EP. Doesn’t this give a cool effect!! I then die cut the word out using the Lovely die and set aside.

For the background, I stamped the various hearts all over the background in Polished and Limoncello (and a couple in ombre). The very very tiny heart is from the Love is in the Air set, although there are several Catherine Pooler releases that have a teeny heart!

I also used the heart from the Lovely Die and stamped an ombre heart. I also stamped the heart again in embossing ink at the bottom and heat embossed in gold. I then popped it up on the background overlaying one of the hearts. I coated it in Glossy Accents. I then popped on the Lovely die cut, and stamped some of the sentiment words from the set in Midnight directly onto the panel.

As a finishing touch, I scatted some CPD Vegas, Baby and Miami sequins to co-ordinate with the gold EP.

For my second card, I carried on with the similar theme. This time I stamped the main Lovely sentiment outline in Black Jack ink and die cut it. I then used a Zig Blender to color in the word with Juniper Mist and Stone Blue inks.

For the background I used the Be Wild stamp set from the new release and the smaller heart images from Isn’t She Lovely stamped all over the background, overlapping in some places. I used Black Jack, Juniper Mist, Be Mine for a pop of color, and Stone Blue. I then popped the die-cut Lovely over the top and adhered the panel to a white notecard.

The sentiment was heat embossed in white on a Smoke and Mirrors cardstock and popped up too. I finished with some of the Aspen and Miami sequins, and Stardust Stickles in places for a tiny bit of sparkle.

Enjoy the hop!!
