Hi Everyone!
You may recall the awesome Celebrate Friends Stamp of Approval collection released earlier this year. Well now all of the products from the collection are available to buy individually in the Catherine Pooler store. That means for those of you who only chose coffee or only chose tea, you can finally get your hands on the other set and co-ordinating dies/borders!
I created two cards with the collection to celebrate the release. You can also check out my earlier posts on this collection here, here and here for more inspiration.
For my first card, I took a panel of Premium White cardstock (by CPD), and blended CPD Juniper Mist ink over the Scattered Circles stencil going darker from the bottom left corner and fading out towards the top right. I then turned the stencil 180 degrees and repeated the blending. After removing the stencil, I blended Juniper Mist lightly along the bottom of the card and faded up.
I diecut one of the Bordering Sweet dies from grey glitter cardstock, and adhered it with a strip of foam tape across the lower third of the panel and snipped off the edges.
I stamped the teapot from the Cuppa Tea stampset in Juniper Mist and the florals in Rose Petals. I also stamped the teabag in Rose Petals, and die cut them both out with the co-ordinating dies, then adhered them with foam squares.
To complete the card, I stamped the sentiment from the Cuppa Tea set in Black Jack ink and added a scattering of tiny hearts was added to mimic steam from the teapot in Rose Petals direct to the panel. The heart is from the Perfect Blend stampset. I then adhered the panel to a white card base.
My second card is more clean and simple. I used the dotted border stamp from the Woohoo stamp set and stamped it on a panel of white cardstock several times in Mint to Be ink, overlapping the images and stamping at angles as I gradually moved up the panel. I then lightly blended Mint to Be up from the bottom and along the edges, fading out to the centre.
I die cut the Hooray die from the collection 5 times from white cardstock. I adhered them together with liquid adhesive to create a solid word die, and then dunked it in Versamark embossing ink. I heat embossed it with Turkish Nights Embossing Glitter by WOW! Embossing – this is an absolutely stunning embossing glitter, with pink and gold pieces – so pretty in real life.
I heat embossed the EP twice (dunking in Versamark again) to get a good layer of glitter and then adhered the die cut directly to the ink blended panel.
I swiped the Mint to Be ink onto white cardstock and when dry, I heat embossed the word Party from the Woohoo stamp set in WOW! Opaque Bright White embossing powder and trimmed it out. I popped it up on foam tape overlapping the word die, and adhered the panel to a white card base.
As a finishing touch, I added some Lucy’s Cards sequins with liquid adhesive that co-ordinated with the Mint to Be ink.
Hope you were inspired – the whole collection is available in the store now and the supplies I used are listed below. Please go check it out!
