Hi all!

I’ve been making more clean and simple cards of late, with a more neutral, more unisex vibe. I’m always lacking in birthday cards for male birthdays, and with Father’s Day coming up, the color scheme in today’s card could also be used for such an occasion! I’m featuring the Spellbinders Large Die of the Month for June, and the Clear Stamp of the Month.

To create my card, I first dry embossed a kraft card base using the Love Stripes embossing folder. The new Portobello Craft Essentials cardstock is very similar in shade so I’ve linked it. here.

I then did my die cutting. I die cut the wavy line die from the June Large Die four times from black cardstock, and adhered them together in sets of two. I also die cut three circles from a pale yellow cardstock (similar to Beeswax Color Essentials), and finally the Happy Birthday from Silver Mirror cardstock, and a circle. I adhered the silver over the top of one of the yellow circles with liquid glue.

On the other two circles I heat embossed two of the stamps from the June Clear Stamp of the month in silver embossing powder to match the mirror. I adhered the two wavy lines to white cardstock with glue so they formed a triple circle. I then mounted each of the three yellow circles in the centres with foam tape. I trimmed around the black lines to create a piece to adhere to the kraft card panel.

I mounted the piece with strips of foam tape, and then to finish, added a few Silver Fashion. embellishments, to add more shine while keeping it simple.
