Hi everyone! It’s finally here!! Altenew’s Stampwheel Release and Blog Hop! Woohoo!! While I’ve only been playing with this tool for a few weeks it feels like it’s been in my craft room for forever – I love it! The stability it provides for stamping wreaths just can’t be beat – you’re going to love it! If you get lost along the way of today’s hop, you can start over at the Altenew blog.

For my projects, I wanted to share a light colored and a dark colored example of what you can do with the wheel. This tool is so easy to use, and with so may positions you can align the stamps however you like to fill more or less of the panel of the cardstock.

For my lighter card, I chose to stamp in a variety of Fresh Dye Inks (the Frosted Foliage Set) and Crisp Dye Inks (Mint, Firefly) in different shades of green, using outline leaf stamps. I chose stamp sets with smaller sets of leaves, and wanted an outline look.

I stamped a sentiment in the centre in Enchanted Gold Pigment Ink. The sentiment is from the Craft Your Life Project Kit: Florescence set. I added a few enamel dots for some interest but kept it clean and simple otherwise.

For my second card, I used Jet Black cardstock. I wanted to see if I could use the Stampwheel with gold pigment inks, so for real impact I used a solid leaf stamp this time, alternating between Enchanted Gold and Antique Gold inks.

This time, instead of a stamped sentiment, I added a die cut ‘peace’ from the Far Out Phrases die set. I actually used the outer layer of the die first to cut a window in the cardstock panel, then die cut the word itself from Gold Mirror cardstock and adhered it to the black piece I’d cut out. I then adhered the panel trimmed down slightly, to a white note card, and adhered the die cut in the centre, slightly offset to enable the white background to peep through.

I finished with a few more enamel dots – I love how these look like berries!
