CAN YOU BELIEVE ALTENEW IS 9!! I KNOW!! I can’t quite believe it either. It seems like Altenew has been here forever and yet barely any time at all. I LOVE this company and their designs and tools and colors just get better and better. Today’s post is part of DAY 2 of our celebration blog hop – you can start over at the Altenew Blog. For those of you who might follow me already on social media, you may know I’m at the tail end of a crazy long renovation – into month 6 (and hopefully the last one) – I’ve not had much access to my crafting room to play with more of Altenew’s recent releases as much as I’d like so for today’s post so I’m sharing some projects I created earlier in the year, but didn’t get a chance to share.

My first card features the Decorative Enamels dies from the Boho Chic release in February 2023. I die cut the shape several times from red and white cardstock. I stacked up the white cardstock and adhered it together, and I also trimmed a window out of the centre of a panel of red cardstock, which I backed with some of the Gilded Glitter cardstock. I added some light ink blending with the Red Cosmos set of Crisp Dye Inks fading to white then adhered it over the top of the glitter cardstock. I also filled the areas with Nuvo Crystal Glaze for a bit of a stained glass look.

I added a single layer of the red shapes around the red card panel and trimmed off the excess, trimming down the panel to 4 x 5.25″. I adhered it to a white notecards and added a few brassy crystals. The sentiment is from the Wild Geranium stamp set, stamped in Obsidian Pigment Ink.

My next card features the Ambridge Bouquet 3D Embossing Folder. I ran a panel of white cardstock through the embossing folder, only the top portion, leaving space to stamp the sentiment from the Ambridge Rose Stampset in Obsidian Pigment Ink. Using pink inks (Rubellite and Pinkalicious) I gently ink blended over the top of the raised image to define it more, adding Rubellite just towards the top only, using a Large Ink Blending Tool. I also added a few splatters of Jet Black ink and finished with a few iridescent crystals.

My next card features the gorgeous Paint-A-Flower French Marigold from the February 2023 Marvelous Monthly release. I used the 36 Pan Set of Watercolors to color in the image which I stamped in a paler sepia color onto watercolor cardstock.

When painted, I stamped the sentiment in Obsidian ink over the top and then trimmed down the panel, matting it with Jet Black cardstock and adhering to a white notecard.

For my next card, I’m sharing a project created with the January 2023 Craft Your Life Project Kit Meadow Breeze. I LOVE these kits – especially how you can dry emboss your stamped image. I colored in mine with Watercolor Brush Markers after heat embossing it with Antique Gold embossing powder, then die cut it out and dry embossed it. I also heat embossed the sentiment and die it out.

For the background, I stamped the sold image in Jet Black ink and added lots of splatters, as well as some iridescent crystals. My colored piece was adhered with foam tape and excess trimmed off.
