Hi Everyone!! I’m so happy to be back hopping with Altenew for their November 2022 release ‘Simply Scientific’. You should have landed here from the awesome Jaycee Gaspar – if not you can pop on over to the top of the hop on the Altenew Blog.
I have a few projects to share today – my first features the Dotted Geo Cover Die – I love the cover die plates that deboss images rather than cut out. This one is fab and the pattern it creates is so pretty I wanted to include it as my focal point. I die cut it from a panel of Moonrock cardstock. I then used a Large Ink Blending Tool and blended on Green Opal Crisp Dye Ink, fading in towards the centre.
I then blended in Green Onyx ink in from the corners to deepen up the circle, and finished with edging the corners in Dark Night. I added a few spritzes of water, as well as Iridescent Shimmer Ink Spray splatters and a couple of spritzes of Pure White Ink Spray.
For the sentiment I used the new Acts of Kindness stamp set, stamped in embossing ink on Jet Black cardstock, then heat embossed in a red pearl embossing powder (non-Altenew). I trimmed it out and popped up with Instant Dimension Foam tape.
My next card features the Layered Lily Add-On Stamp and Die. I stamped it with the Enchanted Garden set of Crisp Dye inks to layer up the buds, and used Minty Mint for the leaves. I then die cut it out.
I used the purples on the background also, paired with a stencil I had created using the Radial Circles Cover Die. (Simply die cut from sturdy cardstock and then place over a panel of white cardstock). I then added a few splatters here and there with Antique Gold Ink Spray.
I stamped a sentiment from the Acts of Kindness stamp set over the top of the stenciled circles using Antique Gold pigment ink .
I then popped the lily over the top of the stencilling, placing over a messy nest of gold thread. I then finished with a few Satin Gold sequins.
My next card features a new stencil – the Pine Forest Simple Coloring Stencil – which also pairs with a 3D Embossing Folder. I didn’t have the embossing folder but used deep greens to add depth in my blending using the Green Fields set of inks.
I shifted the stencil slightly and then brushed in Antique Gold pigment ink from the top to give a sparkle to the trees with a look of shadows. I also added a few splatters using the green inks mixed with water on a fine paintbrush. I finished with a giant sentiment from Acts of Kindness, stamped in Obsidian Pigment Ink.
My final card features the Beautiful Baroque Simple Coloring Stencil and paired it with the coordinating embossing folder. I first inked the pattern up, this time using jewel tones in Plum, Razzleberry and Galactic Stream. I the dry embossed it with the coordinating embossing folder.
I lightly rubbed the Antique Gold pigment ink over the raised portion of the dry embossing, letting the gold stay behind on the tops. For the sentiment I die cut the Fancy Miss You from Gold Mirror cardstock and 3 layers of Jet Black, layering them together and then adhering them together, then gluing over the top of the embossed image.

Well, if I had to pick a favorite, it would be a tie between the first card, and the forest card! But I really love each of them! Your color choices are spot on! The baroque “Miss You” is a stunner! You are pretty darn talented!

Great designs and colors! I am really loving those gorgeous trees!
Beautiful cards .. I love the forest one, where you used Pine Forest Simple Coloring Stencil. It`s great idea to add some deep green colors instead of embossing folder.

Adore the effect of the “Miss You” card and those colors together absolutely a stunning result. All the cards are lovely and I know you didn’t come up with the sentiments; but you selected such uplifting ones to compliment your work. Delightful!
