Hi Everyone!

I’m thrilled to be joining Time Out Challenges today to celebrate their 8th Birthday!! WOW! I was a member of the Time Out Challenges Design Team for almost 3 years, from October 2016 to August 2019, I think my longest tenured design team. I learned so much while I was with the team, and was lucky enough to meet a few of them in real life. Such wonderful ladies, and HAPPY BIRTHDAY to the challenge, and to all of you teamies past and present. It was a pleasure to be part of this amazing challenge.

Today’s challenge of course has a ton of amazing sponsors – head on over to the Time Out Challenges blog to link up and take part to be in with a chance to win! You can also see all the amazing folks taking part in today’s challenge. I hope we inspire you to link up and take part! The challenge is 2 weeks long so get crafting!

For my card today, I wanted to combine several techniques in one card, add a little dark drama and still keep it somewhat simple (although layered!). My main image is Choose Hope from Pinkfresh Studio. I stamped it on Altenew Watercolor cardstock with Altenew embossing ink and heat embossed with their Golden Peach embossing powder.

I then watercolored the image using my Altenew pan watercolors, building up the layers one by one. I started with pale pink, then deeper pink, then a darker purple for the shading. For the leaves I used two shades of blue, building up the darker areas in the base of the leaves. When dry, I die cut out the image and set aside.

For my background I used a panel of Simon Says Stamp Royal Purple cardstock, die cut with Pigment Craft Co’s Cozy Stitches Cover Plate. I also added a few splatters of Rose Gold Shimmer Spray. I adhered the floral over the top with foam tape, then adhered the panel to a white notecard, leaving a border.

My sentiment is hot foiled, using my Spellbinders Glimmer system. It is a plate by Pinkfresh Studio ‘Fancy Script Words’ – I paired it with Matte Gold Glimmer foil and die cut it out with the coordinating die. I then popped it up on the top of my panel with thin strips of foam tape. I finished with a few crystals here and there. ‘

Glam birthday wishes to you all at Time Out Challenges!
