Hi everyone!

Have you managed to check out the new Spellbinders Club Kits for February yet? There are so many gorgeous products this month, and they pair beautifully with each other. For those of you who subscribe to more than one kit in the month, you’ve probably noticed this by now! Well today I’m putting it into practice – I have two cards to share that feature four(!) of this month’s club kits! Large Die, Small Die, Glimmer and Embossing Folder!

The ‘Sketched Floral’ Embossing Folder is oversized so that it can be used for slimline or A2 sized cards. I’ve created one of each to show its versatility. I dry embossed a panel of pale coral and soft pink carsdtock with the folder and adhered them to notecards sized so that the pink had a small border. You’ll notice that I have the embossing on one and the debossing on the other for a slightly different look too.

I die cut several florals and leaves using the dies from the ‘Typing Class’ Large Die of the month, using coordinating colors of cardstock, and some white glitter cardstock all from my scrap drawer. I didn’t know how many I would need so I die cut several and adhered them together/set them aside while I worked on my frames.

I used the Small Die of the Month ‘Oval Stitch & Border’ for the frames, cut from white 100lb cardstock. For the slimline, I die cut out the large frame fully, and added stitched accents using some variegated pink thread (it changes color as I went round). For the smaller A2 panel, I die cut out the medium frame, but without die cutting out the centre, leaving it as a solid oval.

I used my Glimmer of the month ‘Anytime Glimmer Sentiments’ to add the sentiments. For the A2, I glimmered directly onto the white oval, using Blush Glimmer hot foil. For the slimline, I die cut the inner of the larger oval from white cardstock, glimmered onto it using Blush again. I can then fit it directly into the stitched frame when I assemble my card.

I popped the oval frames up on foam squares onto the dry embossed background panels, and inserted the oval inner sentiment adhering it directly to the back panel with glue. I then arranged all of my florals around the sentiment frames using glue and foam tape until I was happy with the look. I had a few blooms left over for other projects. To finish I added my favorite Crystal Mix Color Essentials gems to the flower centres and in a few places here and there.

Which is your favorite kit club from Spellbinders this month? I’ll have more featuring these new kits soon, but if you’re interested, be sure to grab a subscription while supplies last – sometimes the do sell out. February 24th will be the last day to join in February.
