Hello there crafters! Can you believe it’s almost Christmas?? I am so NOT ready yet. I DO have lots of cards made though, so hopefully will actually send them out this year! My card today has a little bit of a festive vibe, but with an alternative color scheme. It features the Spellbinders December Glimmer Kit Club ‘Botanical Crest’. This is a beautiful glimmer hot foil plate wreath, with coordinating glimmer sentiments. What’s awesome is that both the outside and inside of the wreath have coordinating dies to cut out the image. I took full advantage and decided to create a shaker card.

I glimmered the main wreath using two different shades of Glimmer Hot Foil using my Glimmer Hot Foil Machine. I used Lavender and Fuchsia (you can see in the photo above that the right side is the fuchsia). I simply cut two colors of foil that together covered the wreath, and then foiled at the same time in the usual way. I also hot foiled the sentiment in Polished Brass, and die cut it and the wreath out with the coordinating dies in the club kit.

I die cut a panel of clear acetate with the outline die for the wreath and adhered it behind the glimmered frame. I also die cut with the same outline die a panel of patterned paper from an older Spellbinders Card Kit. I create the shaker with a double layer of thin foam tape, and a mix of several purple shades of sequins from my stash. I added them into the shaker, then closed it up with the patterned paper. I then adhered it to the upper centre of a white notecard.

To embellish, I die cut lots of the little flower dies in the set, from lilac cardstock and adhered them to the wreaths. I adhered the sentiment and added a few sequins and flowers around it. I also added some Nuvo Dream Drops in the flower centres and here and there around the sentiment to finish!
