Hi crafty friends! We have a new Craft-A-Flower to share today from Altenew. It’s the Carolina Allspice and its a fun little flower, I just had to glitz up. Stay tuned to see how! I’m hoping the Altenew Card Blog sent you here, but if not, start over there for all the details!
I created two of the Allspice florals and leaves by layering shades of kraft cardstock, Coffee Break Gradient cardstock, glitter cardstock gold mirror cardstock. If you look closely, you’ll also see peeping out at the back Foiled Marble Washi Tape which I covered over a piece of white cardstock before die cutting as the base layer. I adhered all the pieces together and set aside.
I took a sheet of Navy cardstock, and heat embossed this wonderful sentiment from the Block Sentiments stamp set using Gold Crisp Embossing Powder. To frame the sentiment, I used the Frilly Frame die, cut from gold mirror cardstock. I adhered it over the top of the sentiment, keeping the sentiment towards the top edge, then trimmed around the outside so that there was no excess Navy cardstock round the edges.
I adhered the frame onto the lower portion of a top folding white notecard with foam tape, trimming off the excess. I then adhered the florals and leaves over the top and trimmed the excess off also. I finished with several small and large Antique Gold sequins tucked in and around the florals and leaves.
