Hi everyone! Welcome to my stop on today’s Altenew A Year In Review Blog Hop! Hopefully you landed here from Jaycee Gaspar‘s blog, if not, be sure to pop on over to the Altenew Card Blog to start at the beginning.
We are all sharing our favorite Altenew projects of 2021 with you as we hop along – I had a lot of fun going back through my projects! I hope these are some of your favorites too!
Craft-A-Flower: Primrose Blossom (October 2021) – I love the floral layering dies and especially pairing unusual cardstocks for the layers. On this card, I chose a soft peach and pink color palette, paired with glitter – using patterned paper in one of my layers.
Build-A-Flower: Tree Peony (June 2021) – the huge blooms in this stamp set really look awesome layered up in any color, but stamped in the newly released Martian Terrain and Nature’s Wonders ink sets worked so beautifully!
Majestic Bouquet (May 2021): Altenew released its first 8 x 11 stamp set and it was gorgeous. The stamps layered in mutiple different ways and I used them to the full on a pair of cards popping in Cool Summer Nights and Shades of Purple inks.
Simply Spring (May 2021 Exotic Garden Release): Oh this card was a labor of love! I no-line watercolored this huge image with the Artists’ Watercolor 24 Pan set. It took a couple of days, and when the time came to die-cutting I must admit I was nervous!
Meadow Bush (April 2021 Whimsical Wonder release): I love that Altenew released layering stencils, and the Meadow Bush is a great example. I paired it in Shades of Purple with this backdrop created by dry embossing Navy card with my favorite folder – Enchanting Vines.
Craft-A-Flower: Antique Rose (March 2021): This is one of my favorite CAFs. The rose just looks so fluffy and big, and its super easy to create with. I hit on the perfect pink and green pairing and just loved the contrast with the geometric square background.
Branches and Berries (February 2021 Wondrous World Release): This card pairs lots of delicate elements in super soft colors, and I ended up with a really classy look. It includes some of my favorite new products including Foiled Marble Washi, Mod Squares 3D embossing folder, and Branches and Berries dies.
Craft-A-Flower: Morning Glory (January 2021): The CAFs are doing a lot of heavy lifting on this post but I do love them – they do take a lot of time to create with on occasion, and I love to make them a little different to what’s expected. I love the bold drama on this card from the black background!
Lily Cake (December 2021 Year End Celebration Release): I couldn’t resist without adding in this card from the recent Year End Celebration Standalone Die release. I love the mix of cake die with floral die =wedding /anniversary cake! I will definitely recreate this again with new flowers and new colors!
