Hi Everyone!

I’ve just returned from a few days relaxing near the Delaware Water Gap, hiking, and camping and having a generally peaceful time. There’s definitely a chill in the air, and fall is just around the corner, along with a LOT of birthdays! I needed to replenish my birthday card stash, and these darling sentiment dies in the September Small Die of the Month set are so perfect for a clean and simple floral birthday.

I did all my die cutting first, choosing scraps from my scrap drawer of corals, peaches and hot pinks, along with sea greens and teals for the leaves. I also used mirror gold for the sentiment and the flower centres.

You’ll see the word dies are actually layering dies, so you get two layers, one wider, and one fine, that layer on top of each other if you choose to. I layered the gold mirror sentiment onto vellum. I adhered all the flowers together, mixing and matching the florals, and adding a gold centre.

To pull the card together, I first dry embossed a panel of white cardstock with the Love Stripes embossing folder, then adhered the sentiment in the centre using rolled up glue dots. I then arranged all the flowers either side, with glue and foam adhesive, tucking in the leaves at the end and folding up the petals and leaves a little to give a bit of ‘pop’.

I also added a few Crystal Mix Color Essentials Gems to finish with a little subtle sparkle, not to detract from the gold fold sentiment.

Super simple, but really effective and a fun card for any birthday person!
