Hi Everyone!
Today’s Monthly Club Kits have been revealed by Spellbinders, and today I’m featuring the Glimmer Club Kit for August 2022 “llustrated Floral & Solid” which comes with mine (and everyone else’s it seems) favorite hot foil Glimmer Roll Matte Gold!
I love the look of white and gold and so decided to keep this card to those two colors – leaning into that elegant monochromatic look. I used glossy white cardstock for all of my card which foils beautifully.
I started off by foiling two of the main floral images with my Glimmer Hot Foil System, SAVING the left over negative of the foil once I’d peeled it back.
The solid oval that comes in the set can be used to foil a solid oval but it is also perfect for doing reverse foiling – using the negative space of the left over foil and pressing it into the cardstock with a solid plate. To do this, add the solid oval onto the heat plate, overlay the negative of the left over foil pretty side down and then overlay your cardstock. It will foil the negative space into an oval shape for a different look.
I also hot foiled the ‘Sending Happiness’ from the same club set and then die cut out with the coordinating dies. I arranged the pieces around the hot foiled oval using foam squares to attach, then added a few splatters of gold metallic shimmer spray. I finished with a few Fashion Gold Embellishments here and there to tie in with the gold look and complete the card.
