Hi everyone!

It’s time for a new Pinkfresh Studio release and this one is going to knock your socks off. I am serious! There is a WHOLE NEW PRODUCT LINE!!! Hot Foil Plates – eeeeeek!!! You guys know how much I love my hot foiling so this is a dream come true – hot foiling Pinkfresh style! This release also features coordinating layering stencils, cling stamps, and dies. My post today is part of a blog hop with giveaway – stay tuned for the details at the end of this post.

I have three cards to share with you today featuring the new release! My first features the Folk Garden hot foil plate and coordinating die. I foiled it using my Spellbinders Glimmer Hot Foil Machine with Spellbinders Lavender glimmer foil onto pale gray cardstock. I love using hot foil on colored cardstock as it is opaque and stands out beautifully.

I overlaid the coordinating Folk Garden die and die cut the pieces, being careful to leave them in the negative. I flipped over the die and and added small foam squares onto all of the pieces. I then removed the negative and overlaid it on my card base which I already had cut and scored. I used this as a template to replace the pieces inside onto my card frotn exactly as they would appear if I hadn’t die cut them out. By then removing the negative, I have a perfect layout, with dimension!

My sentiment is a hot foil Celebrate from the new release which I foiled in Lavender onto white cardstock and then die cut with the coordinating die. I used the die to cut out more white cardstock 4 further times and adhered them together in a stack for dimension and adhered over the top of the card panel. I added lots of Essentials: Jewels in purple to finish!

My next card features the gorgeous Bougainvillea cling stamp. I heat embossed it in gold onto a panel of watercolor cardstock and then used my Pinkfresh inks to do some ink smushing which i’ve not done for ages! I used Mermaid Cove, Bubble Gum and Lemon Whip and smushed them onto a scrap piece of acetate packaging and then spritzed with water. I picked up the ink with my heat embossed panel, dried it, then repeated twice more. I also picked up some color with a waterbrush and painted a little into the stems and leaves themselves.

I decided to trim down one side of the panel to create a border type edge, and then backed it onto black cardstock strips top and bottom. I coated all of the leaves and flowers with Nuvo Glaze and set aside to dry. My sentiment is the new You Sparkle hot foil place, foiled onto black cardstock using Matte Gold glimmer foil from Spellbinders. (The matte gold is one of all time favorite hot foils, it foils beautifully and goes with pretty much anything). I then used the coordinating die to cut it out and once more from black cardstock, adhered them together to create a thicker sentiment piece.

I mounted the sentiment onto the front using the negative from the die cut to line it up, and then adhered the piece to a white notecard. I decided to cut away the edge of the white note card too for that shaped card look and added a few Essentials: Jewels to finish.

My next card features the Bougainvillea stamp again, this time paired with the layering stencil. I stamped the image in Detail Black ink onto pale green cardstock. I then used the coordinating stencils to add color over the top. I used Mermaid Cove on the leaves with touches of Soft Lilac. On the blooms I used Soft Lilac and Candy Violet to add depth.

I foiled the Thank You So Much hot foil plate in Matte Gold directly over the top of the panel, and then added a few splatters of Antique Gold spray to coordinate. As this was a large solid image, I used a little trick where I used washi tape to hold the plate in place like a hinge, and slid the foil under it. If there are any spots that don’t foil well, the foil can be replaced and refoiled again to get a more solid image (a bit like double stamping in a MISTI). I then matted the panel on matte gold cardstock and adhered to a note card.
