Today I’m back in hot foiling mode – and slimline mode – and navy and gold mode again. All my faves 🙂 I’m featuring products from the Spellbinders Expressions of Love Collection.
My card showcases the Scattered Hearts Background Glimmer hot foil plate. You can repeat it twice to cover the front of an A2 size card. I also glimmered it a further two times to cover the front of a navy slimline panel (3.75″ x 8.5″) using Matte Gold Glimmer hot foil. This can be a little tricky to line up for the third and fourth foils. My tip is to use a small square of foil cut just to the size left on your card panel, and then overhang the plate of the edge of the cardstock.
I mounted the panel onto a Whip Cream card base, leaving a small border around the edge. For my sentiment, I decided to go for a bright pop of bright orangey-peach. I die cut out a small rectangle using the Nestabilities Essentials Rectangles. I then used the ‘Love’ and ‘You’ sentiment dies from the Expressions of Love Sentiments dies set, lined them up on the panel to create a negative die cut panel. I mounted the panel with foam squares, and then added in the teeeeny little pieces I’d kept using liquid glue.
I decided to keep the card sans embellishment, for a more modern look. I hope this inspires you to create different sized cards with your Glimmer hot foil plates!
