Exciting times – there’s a new release from Gina K Designs available RIGHT NOW online – woo! I was lucky to guest for this release and made literally a TON of cards. I’m sharing some today, along with links to the new release!

My first card features the Baby Girl stamp set. It has a couple of cute floral images in it that I thought would work perfectly as a frame for one of the larger sentiments. I used a panel of Tranquil Teal Gina K cardstock (MY ALL TIME FAVORITE – count how many times I’ve used this on cards!) and heat embossed the large sentiment in gold embossing. powder into the centre. On a separate piece of the same cardstock, I heat embossed several of the flowers in the same color. I also added some easy Copic coloring to add contrast before fussy cutting them out.

I stamped several of the flowers again on the background itself, slightly overlapping the sentiment (the heat embossing resists the ink)in a gray ink – something that would blend into the background. I then grabbed a dark navy ink and blended into the edges for depth, and added some white splatters with acrylic paint / water.

I popped my fussy cut flowers around the sentiment, overlapping some, using a double layer of adhesive in parts, and snipped of any overhanging flowers. To add some sparkle, I colored them with Wink of Stella in clear and added a dot of Gina K Crystalline Drops in Sparkling Crystal.

My next card also features the Baby Girl stamp set (and Designer Emily Loggans gorgeous swirly script). I just love this fun to-do list! I heat embossed it in white onto a panel of cardstock, then heavily ink blended blue ink all over the panel.

I did my ink blending from the outside to the centre for my next two shades of blue, using mid tone blue blending to midway leaving a lighter area in the centre where the sentiment is, and then I blended my darkest blue around the edge.

I then used one of my favorite stencils from an earlier release, Mandala Burst, and overlaid it on the edges of the panel while the ink was still wet. I then dabbed it with a wet baby wipe to lift away some of the ink – the effect is so pretty. I moved the stencil around the outside and repeated, before finishing with some white splatters. A few Crystalline Drops finished the card.

Be sure to head on over to check out all of the new release now, and stay tuned as I’ll be sharing more cards in the next few days.
