Hi Everyone!

As promised I have two more cards today featuring some of the new stamp sets released this week by Gina K Designs, and designed by Emily Loggans.

My first card features the Baby Boy stamp set. I loved the mountain images and wanted to keep card really clean and simple, so used some simple masking with ink blending.

I used a panel of Spicy Yoghurt cardstock and stamped the mountains image in light green pigment ink. I then used some masking tape and masked off a strip just below the mountains, and lightly ink blended some blue and green ocean color inks to represent an island type scene. I added some water flicks, and then lifted up the tape.

I used an embossing pen and colored in the tops of the mountains, and heat embossed in white embossing powder. I stamped the sentiment from the set in gray onto the panel and then heat embossed the congratulations in white on black cardstock and popped it up on foam tape. As a finishing touch, I heat embossed the star in Metallic Silver Sparkle embossing powder, trimmed it out and popped it up on the panel. You can see a blue outline peeping out underneath where I initially stamped the star on the background before changing my mind!

My next card features sentiments from the Baby Girl stamp set. Again I kept this card super clean and simple, by featuring some selective blending of the Gina K Floral stencil. (from an earlier release), using ink daubers.

I positioned the stencil and used a flicking motion with the dauber to bring in color at the edges and fade it out for contrast. I used two shades of pink and some pale blue green on the leaves.

I then used my MISTI and stamped the sentiments in Gina K Amalgam Obsidian ink. This keeps it really simple and one layer and lets the gorgeous font take centre stage!

The new release is available now!
