Hi Everyone!

It’s time for the new monthly theme challenge over on the WOW! Embossing Fans page and this month we are focusing on WOW! Fab Foils. These adhere without heat, and are great for use with Adhesive or Double Sided Tape. Today I’m going to be using them with WOW! Bonding Powder.

I’m using Silver Fab Foil and this card is basically a dry embossed panel with a little ink and then some foil, to get this gorgeous dimensional almost watercolor look, with accents of distressed silver.

To create the card I first inked up the Altenew Beautiful Bergenia embossing folder with Altenew Hydrangea ink and then ran a panel of pale pink cardstock from C9. This impresses the Hydrangea ink into the valleys in the folder. I then repeated this with Altenew Baby Pink to blend the inks into the cardstock and create almost a watercolor look. A few spritzes of water added to this effect.

To add the foil highlights I very gently rubbed WOW! Embossing ink over the printed embossed panel, just super lightly (not pushing down) and then sprinkled with WOW! Bonding Powder and heated it until shiny. I then took some WOW! Fab Foil in Silver and laid it over the panel and using my WOW! heat tool, reheated again slightly then pulled up the foil. You will see it adheres to the most dimensional parts of the embossing folder to create a gorgeous vintage silver distressed look.

I repeated this to coat the silver over the rest of the card, then to finish simply adhered a foiled dimensional sticker sentiment.

Be sure to join us over at WOW! Facebook Fans to take part!

Have fun!

I think in mentioning the regret and shame my mom feels every day of her life, I have made it evident that she is taking responsibility for her choices she made here. But she should not be doomed to live her life endlessly punishing herself. There are other external factors that played a major role here, and are fixable. We cannot change the actions my family took, but can demand better from companies that handle these animals in the future. Lu Elwin Besnard
