Hi Everyone!

I have two cards today that feature the Spellbinders ‘Even More Sentiments’ die set. These are an add-on set that works great with the April dies of the month, but I wanted to show you that they also work just as well on their own.

For my first card, I created a shaker card using three of the sentiments – Miss You, Love You and Hey You. Together they form a square, so I lined them up in the center of an A2 size panel shimmer black card stock and die cut them out without using the rectangular frame used to die cut out the sentiments fully. This way a window was created in the cardstock.

I added acetate to the back and created three wells with foam tape for a shaker card. By creating three wells, this ensures that the shaker pieces stay behind all the words, rather than just collecting at the bottom. I used these tiny holographic stars from Martha Stewart that I’ve had in my stash for forever as my shaker pieces, then closed it up with some white cardstock. I also added some of them to the front to look like a cascade.

I highlighted the middle sentiment by die cutting it out again, this time using the rectangle die. I used Erin Lee Holographic cardstock to match the stars!

For my second card, I created a rainbow border by using just the rectangle die along with some scraps of cardstock. I die cut it several times then adhered them to a strip of white cardstock before popping the entire piece up on an A2 panel of gray cardstock against a black strip. I used foam tape for a little dimension.

The ‘Enjoy’ die cut a black rectangle, and then the Enjoy word sentiment and then die cut out again with the rectangle from gold mirror cardstock. I adhered them together and popped it up on foam tape. The remainder of the card used ephemera popsicles and enamel words and dots from a Spellbinders 2019 card kit. I love these for a quick finish to a card!
