Hi Everyone!

It’s time for an awesome new release from Erin Lee Creative! I’ve linked all of the new release at the end of the post. It’s a fab mix of geometric and animal print, with some super essentials for your stash!

Today I have three cards to share with you that use one of the newly released stencils ‘Leopard Stencil’ three different ways, as well as a new stamp set ‘Let’s Make Cards’, paired with some earlier release products.

For my first card, I just had to go full on Leopard print. I chose some Burnt Orange cardstock (by Simon) from my stash and ink blended it with Distress Oxides in Fossilized Amber across the centre, and Walnut Stain along the top, to add some dimension.

I then used Gina K Designs/Therm-o-Web Glitter Gel along with the Leopard Stencil for a glitzy animal print look!

I wanted to pair the background with an older stampset – the Brave Fierce Kind set which features a lion and a tiger. I stamped out the Tiger in Copic-friendly ink and colored it with Yellow and Orange Copic markers, and light pink for the mouth and ears, along with some white and gold gel pen highlights. I then trimmed it out (just the face) and added a glitter gemstone to the forehead, before popping it up on foam tape to my now dried panel.

For the sentiment, I stamped on black cardstock with embossing ink, and heat embossed in white embossing powder, trimmed it out and popped it onto the panel.

My next two cards were a ‘two for one’! I used Decofoil Transfer Gel with the Leopard Stencil on white cardstock, and when dry, foiled it with a sheet of Shattered Rainbow Decofoil.

Rather than discard the leftover foil, I took a tip from my good friend Ashlea and added double sided adhesive to the leftover foil and adhered it to a panel of black cardstock. This gave me a beautiful foiled card with black leopard print markings where the black card showed through.

To finish my card, I stamped out the main image from the ‘Let’s Make Cards’ stamp set in a Copic friendly ink, and then colored it in with a variet of purples, pinks and blues to co-ordinate with the foil. I also added white gel pen highlights, and wrote in the ‘Friend’ on the label with a black marker. I then fussy cut it out and popped it up in the centre on foam squares. The sentiment from the set was heat embossed in white on black cardstock like before.

For my other card, I die cut the centre of the foiled panel with the ELC Hello Die (from an earlier release) and retained the pieces that fell out. I then die cut it again from ELC holographic cardstock and inlaid/pieced it into the the die cut area onto the front of a white notecard.

The sentiment and rose were both from the ‘Let’s Make Cards’ stamp set, heat embossed in WOW! Metallic Silver on black cardstock and trimmed out. The rose is a good demonstration of stretching your stamps – it’s actually the one popped on the envelope in the stamp set.
