Have you managed to grab some of Alex Syberia’s new digital stamps from her store yet? The Holiday Release came out yesterday and it’s the perfect time as The Daily Marker 30 Day Coloring Challenge is also on and today is Day 2!

Today I’m using my Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers. I printed out the Christmas Bouquet by Alex Syberia Design using my Brother black and white printer so it was just big enough to fit on the front of an A2 size card.

I then colored it with my Brush Markers and I used a waterbrush. I like to first use my lightest shade on an area, add it into the creases and pull it out with my waterbrush to coat the whole petal or leaf. I work my way around the flower or stems, and then come back in with another mid shade, doing the same, and then finally a darker shade right in the corners.

For these flowers I used a variety of colors adding multiple layers, – oranges, yellows, browns, reds and pinks on the same petal. I then spatter with water and it ‘peels’ away some of the layers showing the color underneath. I also added some splatters using watered down marker, by scribbling it on my mat first.

When dry, I die cut the cardstock with a rectangle die, and adhered it to a white notecard. I added a few highlights with white and gold gel pens, as well as an Altenew Fine Frame cut from gold mirror cardstock.

For my sentiment I used some gold foil alphas by Pebbles to spell out Peace, which I thought went well with the image and was also nice for the holidays.

Be sure to head on over to Alex’s shop now and check out the rest of her release!
