I’m over on the WOW! Embossing blog today with a video showing three different types of backgrounds and how to heat emboss on them.

My first card uses watercolor emboss resist on handmade watercolor cardstock.
I used Distress Inks and WOW! Opaque Vanilla White embossing powder, along with the Cottage Garden Background stamp from Catherine Pooler, and You Are Sweet die from Erin Lee Creative.
My second card uses patterned paper as the background. I’m using Recollections from Michaels.
I heat embossed the image from Altenew’s Just Because in WOW! Metallic Silver Superfine powder. The sentiment from the same set was stamped in black ink and the die cut is by Ellen Hutson.
My final card uses heat embossing on Yupo paper. This is very challenging (it’s plastic paper) and requires use of the heavy weight Yupo to avoid warping. I also recommend continuously moving the heat gun away.
I heat embossed this beautiful floral from the Miss Ink Sympathy Magnolia set in WOW! Metallic Gold Rich Pale. The sentiments are by Birch Press Design heat embossed in the same powder.
