Hi Everyone!

It’s time for another Time Out Challenge and this week we are challenging you to be ‘Unique’. I’m excited as well as we are sponsored by Catherine Pooler Designs – one of my Design Teams! For my card today, I wanted to create a juxtaposition between soft floral and geometric modern. I pulled out the gorgeous Rose Garden by CPD, as roses (and all flowers) are unique.

To create my card, I first stamped the on a panel of CPD Premium White cardstock in Twilight grey ink. I then created the roses – they are four layers, so I used four different shades of purple Catherine Pooler ink – Sweet Sixteen, Pixie Dust, Flirty Fuchsia and Royal Treatment.

For the leaves, I used Green Tea, Eucalyptus and Spruce. I then die cut the images.

I backed the stamped background panel onto a white notecard, and then I adhered the roses with foam tape, foam squares and liquid glue to create different layers of dimension.

I stamped the sentiment directly onto the background in black ink (the sentiment is from the same set) and as a finishing touch, I added some Nuvo Jewel Drops in Pale Periwinkle to co-ordinate with the roses and look a little like morning dew!

I hope you like it! Be sure to head on over to Time Out Challenges and link up to be in with a chance to win a goodie bag from Catherine Pooler! We also have Elizabeth joining us as Guest Designer and she has some wonderful inspiration for you!

  3. Love this gorgeous card. Those flowers really look unique against the geometric background. Also, I just received the stamps you sent. Did you hear me scream? I am nutty for houses and building stamps, and I have never seen these stamps, but they are so very perfect for me. Thank you so much. I can’t wait to ink them up.
