It’s hop time! Altenew is releasing new stamps, dies and more today with its ‘All Things Handmade’ release and of course we are having a blog hop (and giveaway!) Thank you to Seeka for sending you my way – if you didn’t come from her blog, jump on over to the Altenew Card Blog to start at the beginning!

This release has something for everyone, and hopefully my projects will inspire you today!. My first card features the new Garden Delights Stamp and Die set. These are really pretty florals that layer beautifully yet easily.

I stamped out my flowers with Pink Pearl, Rouge, Coral Bliss, Pastel Sunrise and Peach Perfect. For the leaves I used Vanilla Cream, Hazlenut and Almond Butter, which I also used in the centres.

I die cut out all the leaves and flowers and mounted them onto a background cut from Jet Black Cardstock using the Gradient Stripes Cover die. I scattered a few Antique Gold sequins and finished with a sentiment from the set stamped in Obsidian Pigment ink.

My next project feature the new Grown With Love stamp set. This is such a cute little scene begging to be colored up with Artists Markers – which is exactly what I did! I stamped the scene with Permanent Black which is alcohol marker compatible. I used several colors from a few sets, but you can of course use whatever colors you like!

You might also notice that little path in the background? That came from the Home Sweet Home stamp set from a previous release and I thought it would work well with the set.

My background is pale blue cardstock, dry embossed with the Cloudy Day 3D embossing folder. I lightly ran a white pigment ink pad over the tops of the clouds just to emphasise them. To match the sky but without having to fussy cut out the centre of the garden stall, I colored it in with a close match marker.

That hill in the background is freehand cut from the newly released Alcohol Ink Backgrounds 6 x 6 Patterned Paper, which looks just like an alcohol ink background you created yourself – sneaky! I adhered the hill to the clouds panel, then adhered the path. I fussy cut out the stall and popped it up on Instant Dimension Foam Tape.

I added a few touches including white gel pen highlights, and a little Crystal Glaze to the scales. The sentiment was heat embossed in Pure White Crisp Embossing Powder on Jet Black and popped up over the stall.

My final project features the ‘You Are’ stamp set that was released a few days ago as an exclusive to the Altenew Mobile App. The stamps are all fully separate and great for all sorts of sentiments on cards, but I decided to stamp almost all of them in one bloc, onto a panel of the Alcohol Ink Backgrounds paper.

I used a MISTI to help me keep it all lined up, then stamped in embossing ink. As the paper is thick, it’s really easy to emboss on it, and I used Antique Silver. I actually heat embossed twice to get a thicker layer. And that’s it! Super easy right?!

I ordered the You Are Everything stamp set and the stamps are difficult to ink up cleanly since I do not feel this particular set was made correctly. I am hesitant to reorder until I talk to someone who has this same set. Did you have any issues inking up the stamps for this set? I don’t feel like my words are raised enough to ink it clearly. Any info would be appreciated.
