I hope you all enjoyed the long weekend to those of you in the United States! I wanted to zoom in and show you another card I created with the recent Catherine Pooler Designs release – Welcome Home.
To create my card, I first added a panel of patterned paper from the Smitten release onto a white notecard.
I stamped the main image from the Cottage Corsage stampset, twice in Midnight ink which is Copic friendly and then trimmed out the images with my scissors on one side. I then colored in the images with Copics. I added grey shadows round the images. I adhered the panel to the edge of the patterned paper using foam strips and trimmed off the sides. I also colored two of the corner images and die cut them out with the co-ordinating dies and poppped them up on the panel also.
For the sentiment, I stamped the Awesome from the Awesome & Wonderful stampset in embossing ink and heat embossed with WOW! Opaque Bright White embossing powder. To make sure it stood out more, I went round it with a black micron. The other sentiment was heat embossed in white on a strip of Smoke & Mirrors cardstock and then trimmed it out and popped it up on foam tape. As a finishing touch I added some Nuvo Glitter Drops, including to the flower centres.
Love how this turned out, and it was nice to play with patterned paper again!
