Hi Everyone!

It’s release day for the amazing and HUGE Winter Release from Catherine Pooler Designs.  There are not one, not two, but THREE collections in this release, perfect for lots of upcoming occasions – Snowy Day for your wintery holiday and thank you cards after the holidays, Smitten for the loves in your life and Valentines, and Cake & Confetti, perfect all year round for birthdays!

To celebrate release day, the team are having an Instagram hop – hop along and leave comments at each stop (on Instagram not on this blog although of course your comments are always appreciated!), as the giveaway winners will be chosen randomly from all the IG comments! You can find me on IG under @jenccards.  You have until December 16 2018 to leave a comment, winners will be announced on December 17 2018 on Catherine’s blog.

My first card uses the gorgeous Rose stencil.  To create the card, I first blended an A2 panel of cardstock with Polished, Coral Cabana, and Samba towards the bottom.  I then overlaid the Rose Stencil and spritzed liberally with gold Shimmer Spray.  I dried it and then lifted off the stencil.  This creates a subtle Rose pattern with lots of shimmer.

I also added some spatters with white pigment ink mixed with water.  When dry, I used a powder tool and then stamped this beautiful sentiment from the Doodle Hearts stamp set in Versamark and heat embossed in white embossing powder.  I also added a die cut heart (from the very centre of the Love Connection dies set) and coated it in glossy accents.  I added a scattering of the new Inspiration Point sequins and added to a notecard.

My second card features the Say it With Love stamp set.  This is the second 6 x 8 diamonds type set from Catherine Pooler Designs – you totally all loved the last one!  This is such a fabulous set for practicing your color combos.  My card is a one layer card and I didn’t even use a stamp positioning tool – just an acrylic block and lots of holding my breath!

I wanted to use just one image from the set so chose the gorgeous scrolls image.  I stamped the top centre image first, lining up the centre top point of the image with the horizontal half way point on the card.  I stamped it in Mardi Gras.  I then cleaned the stamp and the image twice more in Seafoam on either side.  I then cleaned the stamp again and stamped in Skylight all across the row below.  I repeated in that fashion until the entire card front was covered.

My sentiment was stamped in Midnight directly over the top in the centre, and I added a tiny heart from the same set, also in Midnight.  To ensure the sentiment stood out, I lightly outlined parts of the main sentiment with a white gel pen (for a trick of the eye).

Be sure to head on over to Instagram to hop along and be in with a chance to win.  I’ve listed all of the new release below (lots of bundle deals to be had!) and the additional supplies I used below.

Have a wonderful day!

Jenny
