All of my cards feature mandalas.  Topflight Stamps carries a number of mandala stamps and even stencils in their store, I love them, particularly the amazing Blockwallah wooden stamps.

Card 1

My first card was created using a Mandala die by Crealies.  I dry embossed the die into an A2 panel of Neenah Solar White 110lb cardstock using an embossing mat and die cutting machine. I gently brushed dark blue ink (Juniper Mist by Catherine Pooler Designs) over the raised surface using a mini ink-blending tool, leaving a subtle, almost distressed look.  I stamped a sentiment in Catherine Pooler Midnight ink underneath, this comes from the Creative Expressions Showered with Love stamp set. I  adhered the panel (cut using a stitched rectangle die) to a navy card base using fun foam for dimension.  I adhered some tiny crystals in the centre and around the edges of the Mandala for some subtle sparkle.

Card 2

For my second card, I coated a panel of Neenah Solar White 110lb cardstock with Versamark embossing ink and completely covered it in WOW! blue embossing powder.  After heat setting, I repeated the Versamark and embossing powder step 4 further times.  As soon as I finished heating the powder the fourth time, I quickly (and carefully) pushed the Blockwallah Exotic wooden handcarved stamp (these are AMAZING) into the melted powder.

I kept pressure on for approx. 1 minute as the powder cooled and then gently lifted it off.  This leaves a really cool impression on the card panel.  I then added a sticker sentiment popped up on foam tape, and some drops of Nuvo glitter drops in Night Sky.

Card 3

I used the same Blockwallah Exotic stamp for this card.  I first created an ombre wash of Daniel Smith Kyanite Genuine over a watercolor cardstock panel.  When dry, I applied a powder tool, then stamped the mandala three times in Versamark ink. Before stamping, I dabbed off the image in parts – I wanted to give a distress batik type look.  I heat embossed the images with Ranger Silver superfine embossing powder.   I over-stamped a sentiment from the Creative Expressions Stylish Script set using the black Midnight ink. I popped the entire panel up onto a black cardstock card base.

Now, be sure to check out all these blogs and comment for your chance to win the grand prize!!

Have a wonderful day!
