Hi there everyone!! It’s time for a new Marvelous Monthly Series release from Altenew and today’s also features brand new Artist Markers – woop woop!! You should have been sent my way by the ever amazing Virginia Lu – if not, you can head on over to the Altenew Card Blog to start at the start!

Kicking off the festivities, I have the the Build-A-Garden Rosa Gallica – this beautiful flower looks gorgeous in the new Fresh Dye Inks. I heat embossed both of the main florals first in Rose Gold Embossing Powder. I then used two sets of Fresh Dye Inks to add details with blending tools and the coordinating stencil – Woodland Escape and Blue Mountains.

I used my blending tool with no additional ink added to get that pale purple color. I also heat embossed the sentiments in the set, then die cut out all of the pieces with the coordinating dies. Love that the word itself is die cut!!

I overlaid the florals on white notecard, trimming off the excess, and tucking larger pieces under others. I then mounted my die cut sentiments out placed in the centre with foam tape. I finished with a few Antique Gold sequins.

My next card features the Paint-A-Flower:Modern Pink Dianthus. I used the brand new Set K Alcohol Artists Markers to color in the image which I stamped onto X-Press It cardstock with Permanent Black ink which is alcohol ink friendly.

I love how these colors go together – so pretty! I added a pale blue line around the image, and then heat embossed the sentiment direct onto the card panel in Rose Gold embossing ink.

My next card features the Craft Your Life Project Kit: Watercolor Flowers which might be one of my favorite CYL kits. I used Rose Gold embossing powder again to heat emboss the flowers image, and then colored it in with the coordinating coloring stencil, then die cut it out. Unfortunately I didn’t record the colors I used but I believe it is the Shades of Purple, Blush, Baby Pink and Fuchsia, Sea Breeze and Lagoon. I stamped the outline stamp again in Blush Ink to create the background with a pale repeating floral pattern. I also nestled a stamped sentiment in Obsidian Pigment Ink.

I overlaid the die cut Watercolor flowers on the background, trimming off any excess then mounted it onto a notecard. Such a pretty card don’t you think ?
