Hi there crafters!!! Happy blog hop day to you all ! I’m currently vacationing in upstate New York but by the magic of blog scheduling I’m happy to still be able to share the projects I made for today’s Altenew Endless Ambition release hop! You should have been sent here by Linda Westfall and if not, you can see the full hop list at the end of this post (after the deets on the prizes!) or you can start over at the Altenew Blog!
In today’s projects I have all sorts of techniques for you – hot foiling, coloring and die cutting – something for everyone I think! My first project features the Timeless Tulips stamp set. I stamped it with Vanilla Cream Crisp Dye Ink onto cold press watercolor cardstock for a no line look.
I then watercolored the image using my 36 Pan Watercolor set with detailed brushes, mixing up reds, oranges and greens to get the colors you see here. I then die cut it out with the coordinating die and set aside.
For my background, I repeatedly stamped the sentiments from the set over and over again on a panel of white cardstock in Obsidian Pigment Ink and then adhere the Tulips over the top with foam tape.
For the sentiment, I hot foiled the hugs from the Sweet Sentiments Hot Foil Plates (So happy Altenew released hot foil sentiments) in Matte Gold (I’m using Glimmer Hot Foil) onto black glossy cardstock then cut it out with the coordinating die.
For my second project I’m doing a little more hot foiling, this time with the Flower Wreath Hot Foil plate which I hot foiled in Matte Gold onto the edge of a panel of white cardstock.
I then used the coordinating Flower Wreath Simple Coloring Stencil to add ink blending with my Detailed Blending Brushes, choosing Wisteria, Baby Pink and Vanilla for the flowers, and Lagoon for the leaves, fading out the blending towards the edge of each area. I also added touches of white gel pen here and there.
I used the ‘hugs’ sentiment again, this time hot foiled in Matte Gold on white glossy cardstock and die cut out. I added a few coordinating sequins and glass drops here and there to finish.
My next card features the gorgeous Layered Ornate Frame die set. This takes a little time to cut out and layer up. but it is so worth it when done. I used the Gilded glitter cardstock, Spicy Yoghurt (for the leaves), kraft for the frame and Cherry Blossom gradient cardstock for the flowers. I pieced them all together using the kraft frame as the base to guide the pieces.
My sentiment is built from the two layers in the Sweet Sentiment die set, using Gilded and Cherry Blossom card stocks.
For my background I used the brand new Rainbow Burst Hot Foil plate, in Matte Gold on white cardstock, trimmed down and adhered to a white note card. I then pieced the wreath and sentiment over the top with small strips of foam tape.
I finished with a few gold dots, and sequins here and there to finish.
My final card is a bit of fun. It features the new Word Balloons die set. I die cut the ‘yay!’ out several times from lots of scraps of cardstock in my drawer to make a rainbow, as well as some holographic cardstock. I then layered on top of each other with liquid glue, slide each one down a little every time.
The sentiment is from a previous release the One-Go Birthday Greeting Stamp set, heat embossed in Rose Gold and die cut out (I actually had it left over from a prior crafting sesh).
The background is white cardstock, dry embossed with a previously released Bunch of Balloons 3D embossing folder which pairs brilliantly. I mounted the “yay!’ over top, adding a little silver thread for the balloon string over the back and adhering on the back and added the sentiment. I then finished with a few clear drops.
