Hi everyone!!
It’s time for a new stand-alone embossing folder and stencil release hop from Altenew! Hopefully you were sent here by Laurie Patterson – if not, head on over to the Altenew Card Blog to start at the start!
Also, Altenew is releasing their very own Scoring Board!! This thing is fab – super deep so not only good for scoring but also getting those layers to line up perfectly on card fronts – and a cute little compartment for the scoring tool.
So without further ado, let’s dive into my projects for today – I think you’re going to like them! My first project features the Geo Triangles 3D Embossing Folder and coordinating stencil. I used the stencil first, and ink blended on several colors that paired really well together.
The colors I used to blend on were Magenta, Emerald, Winter Lake, Volcano Lake, Baby Pink and Cotton Candy.I then dry embossed the stenciled image with the Embossing Folder and added Antique Gold Metallic Ink Spray.
To add the sentiment, I die cut the Linear Crossroads die from white cardstock, and adhered ‘Hello You’ cut from the Bold Greetings sentiment set with Gold mirror cardstock. I die cut it again and adhered it several times ‘behind’ the Linear Crossroads, lined up with the gold, sandwiching the Crossroads between the layers, then adhering with thin strips of foam squares.
I popped the sentiment over on the top of the background with more foam tape, then added a few Satin Gold Sequins to finish.
For my next card, I am featuring the Playful Circles 3D Embossing Folder – this is such a cool pattern! I ink blended a panel of white cardstock with the Red Cosmos range of Crisp Dye Inks. I then dry embossed the panel with the Playful Circles.
For the focal image, I used the Build-A-Flower: Belladonna Lily set, stamped with those same Red Cosmos inkss, then die cut. I also used Gentleman Grays for the stem, and added a few dots of a black gel pen to the stamens.
As a backdrop to the Belladonna Lily, I hot foiled concentric circles of Scalloped Circles in Gold hot foil and die cut it with the coordinating die.I then popped it up on top of the dry embossed background with foam tape. I finished with a sentiment from the Bold Sentiments set stamped in Obsidian Pigment ink.
My third card is super easy, and features the new Sunshine Blossoms 3D Embossing Folder. I dry embossed it on a panel of dark purple cardstock, then lightly brushed the Antique Gold Pigment Ink over the top and around the edges of the panel. I also added a few splatters of Antique Gold Metallic Ink Spray for good measure.
I finished with a Bold Sentiments greeting, heat embossed on more of the purple cardstock using gold embossing powder, trimmed out and popped up on top of the florals.
My final project also feature Sunshine Blossoms. I dry embossed it onto a panel of vellum and then fussy cut it out!! For my background , I used the new Flower Vines embsossing Folder. I blended pinks and blues on the panel of cardstock then dry embossed the panel with the Flower Vines embossing folder.
Flipping the dry embossed panel over, I gently went over it with a Jet Black Crisp Dye Ink pad, leaving just the open areas not back. I added splatters of white paint here and there, then adhered my vellum florals over the top.
The sentiments are from Bold Sentiments stamped in the cooridnating inks, and I trimmed off the border. I finished with a few crystals.
