Hi there crafty friends! I’m happy to be hopping today with the wonderful team at Reverse Confetti, and they have yet another gorgeous release in store for you!! Today I have two cards to share which feature florals from the new release, and two different ways to color in flowers.
My first card features the Friendly Florals stamp set, which is a gorgeous array of outline flower arrangements, and a big bold sentiment. I couldn’t resist stamping all of the images and coloring them – I like to do this and then arrange them on my card project later. I used alcohol markers to color in my images, in purple, pink and yellow shades – a fun combo for springtime. I also added gold and white gel pen highlights, then die cut with the coordinating Friendly Florals Confetti Cuts.
I stamped the large sentiment to the right of an A2 panel of white cardstock. I was planning to centre it, but liked the way the text appeared right-justified and aligned because of that. I then popped all my flower pieces up on foam tape around the sentiment. I added a few black ink splatters here and there, and finished with a scattering of Gold sequins.
My second card features the Sending Smiles stamp set. This consists of solid modern florals and leaves, more bold font sentiments, and outlines. I dispensed with the outlines and stamped just the solid ‘fill’ of the leaves and petals. I added dimension by restamping with a little additional darker color dabbed onto the stamp with a blending tool – in the centres of the flowers and the inner edges of the leaves. I also stamped the detail on the petals and leaves in coordinating colors – this gives a softer look than a dark black outline.
I die cut out all the pieces using the coordinating Sending Smiles Confetti Cuts and then arranged them with differing layers of foam tape onto a white background created from the Peekaboo Cover Panel Confetti Cuts from an earlier release. I stamped the sentiment in black ink and trimmed it out, popping it over the top, then finished with some coordinating enamel dots to finish!
I’ve listed all the stops on today’s hop below – your next stop is Jeanne Jachna – enjoy!!
